An Alumni Email Address is yours FREE by asking! When you update your profile, say you want an alumni email account in the comments section. You will receive a follow-up email in a few days telling you how to access the account.

Skill Updates

As a graduate of NTI, you are invited to on-going skill development years after graduation. We have an open lab policy. Just contact us so we can schedule an initial meeting time to get you materials and a network login. You are welcome to use NTI software and internet access for your skill development and job search.

Career Services

As a graduate of NTI, you are invited to on-going career services years after graduation. If you are looking for a new job or moving to a new city, contact us. Join us on LinkedIn.Unlike many other sites, LinkedIn allows you the opportunity to join professional groups (such as SolidWorks User Group). So it offers great Networking potential. In addition, employers are telling us they used LinkedIn for job postings. So please consider joining. It can benefit you are your future.

1. To join,  go to http://www.linkedin.com Sign up.
2. In the upper right corner, you’ll see a search box with a dropdown in front of it. Select ‘groups’ from the dropdown and type ‘NTI’ in the search box. Click search.
3. You’ll see ‘NTI: A Forum for graduates of Northwest Technical Institute in Minnesota.’
4. Click ‘join group’ on the right side of the screen.
5. Explore the job postings and discussions. Share a promotion!

We also offer a career search group meeting each Wednesday from 1-3pm. Feel free to come in, get help wrting a resume or cover letter, making business cards or search for a job.

Alumni Newsletter

NTI wants to know about your successes and share them with other grads. Once a term, NTI will publish an electronic newsletter in the blog section of the web site, featuring a student and a graduate from each program. If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, just click on “BLOG” (on the toolbar) and register (look on left). If you want to share where you’ve been and what you’ve been doing, please do so by entering a feature on the Alumni Blog after you have registered. If you know of someone who should be featured, contact us.
