Students are given email accounts to use while attending NTI. Email will be used by faculty and staff to communicate with students. Students are required to check their email several times each week.

Student email addresses are formatted as: FirstInitialLastName@student.nti.edu. For example, John Doe would have an email address of jdoe@student.nti.edu.

Students can login to their webmail accounts from any computer connected to the Internet by going to http://www.nti.edu/webmail.

You will then be asked for your user name (e.g., jdoe@student.nti.edu) and password. The password is originally set as password. Students must change their password to protect their privacy. You can do this by clicking [change password] at the bottom of the login screen (click to enlarge the picture below). It is recommended that you use your Pin # (assigned to you when you start at NTI) as your password because this is used to access other services NTI provides.

Students can use one of two webmail programs: Horde or SquirrelMail. Review both to see which one you like. You will be able to send and receive email from either option. Horde is more advantageous to those who are familiar with Microsoft Office because it has a calendar, notes, and task list capability built in.

Problems?

If you are having difficulty, it is likely browser settings. You can circumvent this problem by using web2mail.com. You will need to sign up, but once you have, your browser is not an issue (but you must tolerate ads). You can also contact Amy Nelson or Tim Cooney.
