Employers: NTI Profile

NTI was established as a private drafting school in 1957. NTI trains students for careers in the fields of Product Design & Engineering Technology or Architectural Building Technology.

We recently teamed up with Globe University to develop and offer drafting and design degrees to a wider range of students. This is a win-win for aspiring students and the future employers who will hire them. We’re leveraging our drafting expertise with Globe University’s 125 years of career education and geographical depth: more than 25 campuses across the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions

We are an accredited school and member of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC, Arlington, VA).

Intensive programs

Students receive an intense education. They spend 3.5 hours a day, 4 days a week, for 60 weeks in a CAD lab (that’s 840 hours). Architecture students learn AutoCad® and Revit®, and engineering students learn SolidWorks® and Pro/Engineer®.

Students also take related technical courses, math (basic math through college algebra), physics (statics and strength of materials), communications, ethics and history as it relates to innovation in our society. As a result, students graduate knowing much more than software manipulation.

Want to hire a student?

Since students take classes four days a week, either in the morning or afternoon, many employers hire them on a part-time basis after their first semester. Half of these students are hired full time after graduation. This gives both the student and the employer the opportunity to learn more about each other. Half of all these students are hired full-time after graduation.

If you are an employer interested in having a design student as a part-time employee, please post a job. You can also visit Globe University’s employer site.

Each term (every January, May and September), NTI promotes graduates by creating an Availability Newsletter. Although the newsletter gives updates on NTI, its personnel, and its programs, its main purpose is to give potential graduates the opportunity to sell themselves to potential employers.
